Best Protein and Energy Bars of 2017

Best Protein and Energy Bars of 2017

There are so many protein and energy bars on the market that it's hard to know which ones are the best (nutrition-wise) and the tastiest. Luckily you have me. I've tasted a good amount of bars this year and decided to give you a rundown of all my favorite protein and energy bars. Are you ready? Here they are:

1. PrOATein Bars

Disclaimer: I'm an ambassador for PrOATein Bars. However, this doesn't change the fact that I genuinely love these bars. If I didn't, I wouldn't have accepted their ambassador proposition. So now that's clear, let's talk about how awesome PrOATeins bars are.

So PrOATein Bars are protein bars made with natural ingredients only. They're gluten free, nut-free, high in fiber, and come in four different flavors - banana chocolate, chocolate fudge, vanilla blueberry, and white chocolate coconut. And my favorite? Definitely the white chocolate coconut one. I love these bars because they are soft and chewy and they taste like real food.

Nutrition facts (based on the Vanilla Blueberry bar): 170 calories (Fat: 2.5g, Carbs: 25g, Protein: 15g)

2. Square Organics Crisp Bars

If you're not familiar with Square Organics, it's a company that produces protein snacks. I believe their first snack was the Square Organic Protein Bar (you can read the review of every flavor here.) But in the past couple of months, they've added a couple of different treats to their repertoire. And my favorite thing? Their Crips Bars. If you like the texture of Rice Krispies, I think you'll definitely love these. They have three flavors at the moment - Vanilla Cashew Crisp, Chocolate Sea Salt and Toasted Coconut. Can you guess which one is my favorite? It's definitely coconut. These bars are gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free.

Nutrition facts: 220-230 calories (Fat: 12-13g, Carbs: 22g, Protein: 10g)

3. Bounce Balls

If you love the healthy section of your local grocery store then you've probably spotted Bounce Balls bouncing around (am I hysterical?). But if you haven't, no worries, that's why I'm here for. Bounce balls are small energy balls made with natural ingredients. They are also gluten-free, wheat-free, GM-free, and contain no refined sugars. And the best part? They have all the flavors imaginable: Peanut, Coconut Lemon, Coconut Macadamia, Spirulina Ginseng, Almond, Berry Coconut, Cacao Orange, Cacao Mint, and Apple Cinnamon. And my favorite? Definitely the Coconut Macadamia one!

Nutrition facts (based on the Peanut ball): 200 calories (Fat: 8g, Carbs: 18g, Protein: 14g)

4. ONE Brands Bars

ONE Brands bars -- where do I even begin? These bars are incredible, absolutely incredible. They're not only delicious, but they're also packed with protein. Way to tame that hunger of yours! And the amount of flavors they have is mind-blowing:  Almond Bliss, Birthday Cake, Blueberry Cobbler, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cinnamon Roll, Cookies & Creme, Lemon Cake, Maple Glazed Donut, Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake, Peanut Butter Pie, Red Velvet Cake, Salted Caramel. So which one do I like the best? I don't even know. They are all truly tasty.

Nutrition facts (based on the Birthday Cake bar): 210 calories (Fat: 7, Carbs: 22, Protein: 20g)

I'm always on the hunt for new protein bars. Comment below your favorite.
