Oatmeal Pizza Crust

You know what I absolutely love about food? It’s the fact that you can turn your favorite junk food into healthy food. Now I’m not saying that indulging in your favorite treats is bad, not at all. I’m just saying that it’s something that should be done occasionally. So if you can, always prioritize nutrient-dense food! Okay?

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m a major sucker for pizza. If I could, I would eat it a couple of times a week. But that wouldn’t be very healthy of me, would it? So that’s why I worked on a healthier recipe so that I could turn my eating-pizza-a-couple-of-times-a-week dream into reality!

Ingredients for the crust:

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup of egg whites

  • 2 TBS of ricotta cheese

  • 1 TSP of baking powder

  • Salt & pepper


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  • Place everything in your blender and blend until smooth (the consistency should be on the thick side)

  • Press the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (the dough should be about 0.5cm thick)

  • Bake for about 10 minutes

  • Remove from the oven and gently flip the crust over

  • Top with your favorite toppings, such as tomato sauce, cheese, meats and veggies, and put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes or so
