A Day in the Life of a Pregnant Working Woman (feat. Melitta Coffee)
When people look at my Instagram, they probably think my only job is to be pregnant, work out and eat pancakes. Ha! I wish that were the case. But the opposite is the reality. I'm actually a very busy woman, a very busy pregnant woman. So, I thought it'd be fun to share with all of you what my days usually look like. So let's get to it.
I wake up at 5:35am every day and get to the gym at 6am. I workout - specifically lift weights - until about 7:15am and then head home to shower and eat breakfast (here's what I'll typically have.) One of the most important part of my morning - and also my favorite one - is my coffee. My current favorite is the Deluxe European Roast (medium dark roast just to be specific) from Melitta. The reason why I love this brand is because they've invented a two-part filtration system, which makes it incredibly easy to brew a tasty cup of coffee, perfect for a busy woman. Here's how:
- Place Pour-Over cone on top of your mug & insert their cone coffee filter
- Scoop in your ground coffee
- Pour hot water (just off the boil) into the cone... and voilà
This two-part filtration system is a true lifesaver. Before finding out about Melitta, I used to just pour hot water over coffee grounds and wait until they set down. The problem with this method was that the coffee grounds would never dissolve completely. So if you're looking for an easy and quick way to make delicious coffee, I strongly suggest you check Melitta. Now back to my day. At around 8:30am I leave my house and get to the office at 9am. For those of you who don't know, I work as a Content Marketing Specialist at a digital-media company. Feel free to reach out if you want to know more. I'm at the office usually until 5-5:30pm and get home at 6pm. You'd think that once I'm home, that'd be it - right? But no. There's actually more. I usually spend my evenings doing two things - I prep dinner and lunch for the following day for my husband and I and most importantly I work on my blog and Instagram. And by the time I finish all that it's already 9pm and time to shower, brush and floss my teeth and go to bed. If you're wondering at what time I go to bed, it's usually between 9:30pm and 10:00pm. I need my magical 7 to 8 hours of sleep, otherwise I wouldn't be able to function.
How does your day look like? Does it look similar?
