Here Are My New Year's Resolutions

The year of 2017 is slowly coming to an end and I haven't really thought about my New Year's resolutions just yet. It's kind of strange because I'm really good at planning out my goals and dreams and I actually love doing it. I love getting a new cute agenda. I love thinking about where I want to be and what I want to be doing in the next couple of months. I just love it all. But this year, for some reason, I'm not feeling it. And I don't know if it's because the big 30 is just around the corner and I'm kind of thinking that my life is going to be over soon (not literally, just figuratively of course). What I do know, however, is that this kind of negative attitude won't get me very far. 

So what I'm going to do right now is list all the things I'd like to improve about myself. I'm going to write down whatever comes to my mind; I'm not going to overthink this. 

Let's do this.

1. Mobility & Stretching

I need to find ways to work mobility and stretching into my workouts. This is extremely important as it will dramatically improve my lifts. So my goal is to do mobility and stretching exercises everyday for at least 15 minutes. 

2. Blog more

Although I've been blogging more than ever, I really need to step up my game even more. If I'm really serious about growing my blog, I'm going to have to post more often than just once a week.

3. Apply eye cream

As mentioned earlier, I'm going to be entering a new decade in just three short months. What does that mean? I'm going to have to step up my skin care routine as I'm not getting any younger haha. The use of eye cream is essential as it helps with fine lines and wrinkles, dark under eyes circles, and with puffiness. So as of 2018, I'm going to apply eye cream every night before bed.

4. Be more spontaneous

Because life is too short, I really need to make an effort to step out of my routine once in a while. A little spontaneity never hurt anyone. 

5. Live in the present

I want to live a life where I'm not constantly waiting for the weekend to arrive. I want to perceive every day as an opportunity to grow and become better in all areas of life.

6. Eat more plant-based foods

Although I'm already incorporating lots of vegetarian meals into my diet, I really want to focus on adding more plant-based foods like whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts and seeds and whatnot.

7. Read more

I absolutely love reading and I haven't been doing a lot of it this year. I think I only managed to read two books. But since reading makes you better at life, I want to make sure I read at least one book per month.

8. Be kinder to others

I'm a very moody person, which more often than not affects the people around me. Thus, I really want to get better at controlling my mood swings. 

9. Be kinder to myself

This one needs a lot of work. But I promise I'll do everything I can to be less hard on myself. 

10. Get my driver's license

I know what you're thinking: "She's almost 30 and she doesn't have her driver's license yet." Am I right? Well, let me correct you. I have an EU driver's license and I've had it since the age of 19. An EU driver's license means I can drive in any country that's part of the European Union. Pretty cool, huh? I just need to exchange it for a Quebec one and pass the road test.
